Unity B4 Heresy Blog Round-up

Evening Everyone and welcome to another Weekly Round-up from us all here at the blog.

Firstly and most importantly we'd like to announce that JohnGG will be joining the blog as a full time author and member of the UnityB4Heresy Team.  I'm sure all of you who have taken the time to check out his great Event reports and his most recent White Scars post will agree he'll be a great asset to the team moving forwards. 😁👍 Welcome JohnGG!!

Col. Hertford this week has been spending some well earned time with his family but still managed to set up a trip to Warhammer World in Nottingham to treat himself with some goodies.  Look out for a future up-date with details of his haul soon. 😊

This week started slow for King Fluff however knowing that he has a few event deadlines looming for which he wants to get new models painted for he’s aimed for a hobby explosion at the later end of the week. He’s been working on a new armament for his Warlord Titan Venatoribus Hastam, working on Adeptus Custodes reinforcements (including Romulus & Remus his two Orion gunships) and additional units for his Night Lords Legion. Next week he’ll be pushing it further to try and see some of these completed.

JohnGG has been back to the Collegia Titanica recently. Building and refitting his AT scale Legio.

He has also started building another Reaver, retro fitting his Warlord with new custom weapons systems and re-branding his Knight House.

Taking advantage of his favourite online retailers 5 year anniversary sale GG bought another Reaver, now having enough to run a good sized Corsair Maniple.

GG’s warlord now has a custom made Quake cannon. #BIGGRIN

And his squadron of Cerastus lancers being rebranded from House Malinax to House Vyridion.  I thought the ‘caught on the wrong side’ of the Heresy fitted the Legio Xestobiax theme, even if there’s no connection between the two august institutions.

With limited hobby time this week myself I managed to put the starting parts together of some more MkIV marines ready for the Summer Heresy Hobby train.  I've decided that I like the idea of being versatile and having additional TacticalSquads but also if I want to run larger squads, which seems to be a theme around the Age of Darkness gaming community, then I'll have those additional troops at my disposal.

The eagle eyed amongst you will also notice I've been masking off my Mechanicum based stacks.  Those will be used for Unity/GC/Age of Darkness gaming and as AT terrain.  Once the masking is complete they'll be sprayed up again just using masking tape and rattle cans with a full Terrain update post with what I've done and how it was achieved coming soon.

Finally with the recent events King Fluff has put together it's clear I need to 'add' to my armoury of Agents of the Sigillite beyond those of the Knights Errant and to look to the darker more sinister ones.  So to that end I've built two of the plastic Assassins and look to paint those up as nice individual character pieces.  I'd also like to look at a more anti-Xenos based Assassin but I'm not sure how that would fit?   If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them!  Please comment below.

There you have it folks another round-up complete.  I hope you all continue to enjoy seeing our hobby journeys and if you'd like to ask any questions or want to tell us what you've been working on don't forget to comment below.
