Adeptus Titanicus - GAMMA tile from Forgeworld: Unboxing

Evening everyone.  A little later than planned but here it is none the less 😊👍
Tylar here with another unboxing of the newly released GAMMA tile for Adeptus Titanicus from Forgeworld.

I was lucky enough to be able to buy the DELTA tile during my recent attendance at the HH: Weekender 2019.  If you'd like to check out the unboxing for that go head to the blog page found here:

When I saw two AT tiles were available I weighed up what would be a good buy and what would my tiny Titans look good standing on.  I opted for the DELTA tile as I really liked the initial look of how my Titans could be displayed on it.

The second tile the GAMMA was also released.  Unfortunately funds didn't allow for two tiles so I went with my initially feeling based on the aesthetic.

So onto the GAMMA tile. This isn't as good as the DELTA tile from initial cast.  Having bought many tiles before which have been poor at best this wasn't as bad but there was a little warping.  Once the tile is cleaned however this will be easily remedied with a heat gun and some correctly applied pressure.  The detail is still awesome and the painted ones I've seen in the flesh are fantastic.  The full set of tiles can be seen in the previous unboxing post.

The GAMMA tile in similar fashion to the DELTA tile I previewed before, has miniaturised versions of the FW Cityscape Mechanicum Manufactorum tile.  There are two of these on the raised tier with one having sustained damage.  Small bunkers line the Main Street section along the centre of the board adding additional detail.  And then there are three what look to be silos seen below in the bottom of the picture

In the top right area of the previous picture there is some additional detailing that helps bring narrative to the tile in the form of a wrecked Knight.

This one of a few small touches to this tile which make the detail really stand out.  Another is the crashed Xiphon interceptor.

The detail on these tiles really is something else.  I have looked into making a few moulds of some of the bunkers and other small details on the DELTA tile and I will definitely look to this tile for some additional options that I can incorporate them into my bases moving forwards.  I've added further shots below showing the tile from the different angels.

The small silo areas are great detailed areas with some character.  I decided this time to show the areas with some scenery added to show you the footprint and that additional building to could be added easily during games to block LOS.

Below is an aerial shot the left hand silo from the pictures above with the second shot of an aerial from the centre of the three.

Finally we have a closer picture of the small bunkers.  Now it's my understanding that these can also be added too using single tile by single tile blocks.  I have yet to test the theory as I don't have any small buildings like that, however I will endeavour to have a shot for you at least for the end of the week at the round up.

So there you are ladies and gents a second great tile from the Adeptus Titanicus Tile range from Forgeworld.  Please free to comment or ask questions below.  Don't forget to come back later in the week for additional content and for our weekly round up!
